Microbiological testing
MPL Laboratories is NATA accredited for the microbiological analysis of a range of environmental and industrial samples including surface, airborne, potable, swimming pool and industrial waste samples. To determine drinking water potability, samples can be analysed for the presence of faecal indicator micro-organisms, such as E.coli and Faecal Streptococci. It is important that collection, preservation and delivery of all samples is correctly undertaken to ensure results accurately reflect the situation you are trying to measure. Generally, samples are best refrigerated and should be received at the laboratory within 24 hours of sampling. We will also provide appropriate sterile sample bottles with preservative Free of Charge with analysis, however transport costs are the responsibility of the client.
Please note: due to short shelf life of media used for Pseudomonas aeruginosa 2 weeks notice is required prior to submission of samples If samples are submitted with insufficient advance notice, work will be subcontracted to another laboratory.
